Service software

Unless separately stated or relicensed, the app, API, website, prompts, curation rules, design, and brand are private proprietary software. A subscription grants access to the service and does not transfer ownership of source code.

User content

Rights in source text, context, and materials that users save remain with the user or original rights holder. The service receives only the minimum non-exclusive processing permission needed to provide requested translation, storage, synchronization, personalization, and export.

AI-generated content

Users may use and export personalized stories and Recast results to the extent permitted by applicable law and third-party provider terms. We do not guarantee third-party rights or the exclusivity of results.

Open source software

The applicable license governs each open-source component included in a distribution. The current web application uses Clojure, Aleph, Cheshire, and Hiccup. Before launch, we will generate and review notices and full license texts based on the actual distribution, including transitive dependencies.

Contact information for rights or open-source notices will be finalized before launch. We will review reports of omissions and correct notices when appropriate.
